The invention relates to a device for superfinishing cylindrical surfaces. It is the object of the invention to provide a simple way to adjust the superfinishing apparatus for the transition, following the working of one cylindrical surface, to the working of the next cylindrical surface. The invention consists in that the carrier (2) of a superfinising apparatus (3) is arranged to be height-adjustable in a vertical guide (1), in that a pressing-off cylinder-piston unit (4) is fixed in the vertical guide (1) or on the carrier (2), the unit being directed perpendicularly with respect to the carrier (2) or the vertical guide, in that the arm (51) of a lever (5), which is rotatably mounted on the carrier (2) or on the vertical guide (1), engages between the pressing-off cylinder-piston unit (4) and the carrier (2) or between the pressing-off cylinder-piston unit (4) and the vertical guide (1), and in that the lever (5) is kinematically connected to a detent (6) arranged between the vertical guide (1) and the carrier (2). <IMAGE>
