PURPOSE:To facilitate formation of dividing trenches having high position accuracy and flat internal wall surfaces by engraving the dividing trenches by applying an ultrasonic wave after a green sheet is baked. CONSTITUTION:The wedged tip parts 11a of a vibration horn jig 11 are pressed against the surface of a ceramic board 10 obtained by baking a green sheet and an ultrasonic vibration is applied to the pressed positions. The wedged tip parts 11a or the vibration horn jig 11 are extended to form a lattice with a certain interval. As the vibration horn jig 11 is connected to an ultrasonic oscillator 13 through a lead wire 12, the trenches having V-shape cross sections are engraved at the positions where the wedged tip parts 11a are pressed against the ceramic board 10. Therefore, dividing trenches 14 extended lengthwise and crosswise corresponding to the lattice-patterned wedged tip parts 11a are formed in the surface of the ceramic board 10. With this constitution, the position accuracy of the dividing trenches 14 can be improved significantly and the printing discrepancy of the pattern from the dividing trenches 14 can be avoided. |
