BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYPROPYLENE FILM

PURPOSE:To prepare the title film excellent in high-temp. dimensional stability and antistatic properties by producing the film having a specified density or higher from a polypropylene resin contg. a specified amt. of an antistatic agent and having a specific density or lower. CONSTITUTION:A polypropylene resin having a density of 0.9070g/cm<3> or lower and contg. 0.01-1.5wt.% antistatic agent (e.g. a fatty acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol or an ethylene oxide adduct of an alkylamine) is formed into a film, which is then biaxially oriented to give the title film having a density of 0.9100g/cm<3> or higher. The oriented film, which is antistatic and excellent in high-temp. dimensional stability because of its density, is suitably used esp. for a packaging material to be minted.
