A method of quickly detecting the position of a mobile transmitter (14) having a simple structure for transmitting a radio wave. At least four fixed wireless stations (10 to 13) each have the mobile transmitter (14) for transmitting a radio wave having a predetermined frequency, and receivers for receiving the radio wave signals, disposed at different positions. At least one base station (13) executes signal processing in cooperation with the fixed wireless stations (10 to 13). The difference of the propagation time of the radio wave signals from the mobile transmitter (14) to the fixed wireless stations (10 to 13) is calculated and the position of the mobile transmitter is detected. |
