PURPOSE:To produce the subject powder homogeneously dispersed without the separation of a filler by mixing a (semi-)hydrophilic filler surface-treated with a specific organosilane with the powder of polytetrafluoroethylene in a two-phase liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:(A) The powder of polytetrafluoroethylene having an average particle size of <=100mu is homogeneously mixed with (B) a (semi-)hydrophilic filler surface-treated with an organosilane such as phenyltrialkoxysilane of the formula (X is an amino group-free hydrolyzable group; Y is H, 1-4C alkyl, halogen atom; n is 1,2) in a two-phase liquid medium consisting of water and a water-insoluble organic liquid such as 1,1-dichloro-2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropane having a surface tension of <=35 dyne/cm at 25 deg.C to provide the objective polytetrafluoroethylene powder. |
