PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect a stratum such as an underground or a bedrock by measuring a particle incoming state in a borehole.SOLUTION: A stratum inspection device 3 having scintillators with a rectangular plate shape as light emitting means is inserted into a small-diameter borehole 2. The incoming direction of a muon is identified by rotating a pair of scintillators while the facing arrangement state thereof is kept. A light emission signal is converted into an electric signal, and the electric signal is transmitted to a control apparatus 4 on the ground. |
