PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of easily applying machining to both a long-length workpiece and a short-length workpiece.SOLUTION: A machine tool 100 includes: an AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) 110; a bed 121 which is placed on the AGV 110 and can be contacted with a floor face F; a hydraulic cylinder 113 and a hydraulic power source 149, etc., for raising/lowering the bed 121 in such a manner that the bed 121 is contacted with or separated from the floor face F; a main spindle 129; main spindle supporting means 121-128 supporting the main spindle 129 in such a manner that the main spindle 129 can move in a Y-axis direction which is a vertical direction, an X-axis direction which is orthogonal to the Y-axis direction, and a Z-axis direction which is orthogonal to the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction and the main spindle 129 can turn around a B-axis which is a vertical axis and around an A-axis which is a horizontal axis, with respect to the bed 121; and motors 141-145 which activate the main spindle supporting means 121-128 in such a manner that the main spindle 129 is moved in the X-axis direction, the Y-axis direction, and the Z-axis direction with respect to the bed 121, and is turned around the A-axis and the B-axis. |
