PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear chamber lubricating oil recovery structure capable of recovering oil used for lubrication in a high temperature state in which the viscosity of the oil is low.SOLUTION: A lubricating oil recovery structure of a valve gear chamber 17 of an internal combustion engine E comprises: a valve gear mechanism 18 accommodated in the valve gear chamber 17 and driving an intake valve 10 and an exhaust valve 11; a lubricating oil supply passage 24 supplying oil to slide portions (21a, 22a, 23a) of the valve gear mechanism 18; and an oil recovery passage 34 opening to a valve-gear-chamber bottom surface 3c of a cylinder head 3 and recovering the oil in the valve gear chamber 17, a baffle (30) capturing the oil in the valve gear chamber 17 being provided in the valve gear chamber 17 so as to form a clearance between the baffle (30) and the valve-gear-chamber bottom surface 3c of the cylinder head 3, the captured oil being caused to flow down the oil recovery passage 34 from a discharge port 32a of the baffle (30). |
