The invention relates to a printing machine (1) for containers (11) and to a corresponding printing method. Accordingly, the printing machine (1) comprises a continuously rotatable container table (9) on which centering mountings (12) that can rotate about themselves about vertical axes for the containers (11) are uniformly distributed over the circumference in a spaced manner by a distance of a transport spacing (9b). Furthermore, at least one stationary printing station (2-4) is provided for printing the containers (11). Because the printing station (2-4) comprises at least two printing heads (5, 6) which are arranged in a mutually spaced manner by the distance of the transport spacing (9b) and which run together with the containers (11) and back in an oscillating manner within a machine angle segment (10) of the printing machine (1), the containers (11) can be printed in a fixed position relative to the printing heads (5, 6) temporarily with a simultaneously high machine output. |
