A spectacle lens design system provided with an eyeball center-of-rotation-position determining means that identifies the position of the corneal cap of an eye of a subject on the basis of an image captured by a designated imaging device and determines the position of the center of rotation of the eyeball of the subject on the basis of the identified corneal cap position, a sightline-information calculating means that calculates sightline information for the subject on the basis of the position of a visual object disposed in a designated position and being viewed by the subject and on the basis of the eyeball center-of-rotation position determined by the eyeball center-of-rotation position means; and a shape designing means that designs the shape of a spectacle lens on the basis of designated prescription information and the sightline information calculated by the sightline-information calculating means.
