The interior paneling component has an insert (10) which reinforces an airbag covering (21') at the side facing an airbag (22'). The insert is formed of thermoplastic material, preferably polypropylene, which is the same as that of a structural part and is fiber-reinforced with fibrous textile, knitted fabric, or woven fabric. The thermoplastic material for the insert is also reinforced with glass, aramid, polypropylene, jute, or coal fibers. The insert also includes a lifting loop (13') at the side facing a deployment channel (23) for the airbag. An independent claim is also included for a method of producing an interior paneling component. |
