PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus configured to prevent developer from being discharged to the outside excessively when the developer scatters due to rotation of a spiral blade, to maintain proper amount of developer for image printing, and to provide an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus 200 includes: a developer tank which houses developer G and includes an outlet 212a for discharging surplus developer G when a liquid surface of the developer G exceeds a predetermined height in a vertical direction H; a first conveyance member having a first spiral blade 222 for conveying the developer G in a predetermined conveyance direction; and external discharge control means 252 having a scatter control inclined plate 251 which is arranged between the first conveyance member and the outlet 212a in the vertical direction and inclined from upstream to downstream in the conveyance direction of the first conveyance member, to prevent scattering of the developer G due to rotation of the first spiral blade 222. |
