A method for calibrating an analyte sensor, the method comprising the steps of: receiving sensor data from the analyte sensor, the sensor data comprising at least one sensor data point representative of an analyte concentration measurement in the host; converting the sensor data into calibrated data using a conversion function based on prior information, wherein the prior information comprises sensitivity and/or baseline information and is used to guide the conversion function; and further comprising receiving reference data from a reference analyte monitor, the reference data comprising at least one reference data point, wherein the reference data point is used in calculating the conversion function. |
