A head-protecting airbag device includes an airbag (20) that is inflatable with an inflation gas in such a manner as to separate an inboard side wall (22a) and an outboard side wall (22b) while unfolding downward from a housing (SP). The airbag includes a front inflatable shielding region (27) that covers an inboard side (I) of a window (W1). The front inflatable shielding region includes a sub inflatable region (29) that is disposed in front of a main inflatable region and is inflatable later than the main inflatable region. The sub inflatable region includes at the lower end (29b) as fully inflated a supportive inflatable region (30) that is supported by a vehicle body member (DT) which is disposed below a beltline (BL). The airbag is stored in the housing in such a folded-up configuration that a front lower corner (31) of the sub inflatable region is folded inward on a crease (70) extending obliquely rearward and downward from the front edge to the lower edge (20b) of the airbag before the airbag is subjected to a vertical size reducing folding that brings the lower edge (20b) of the airbag as unfolded flatly close to the upper edge (20a).
