摘要 The present invention relates to a light irradiation device which can irradiate light having a rapidly increasing irradiation intensity distribution to a rectangular irradiation region. The light irradiation device for irradiating light to a rectangular irradiation region on an object to be irradiated comprises: a plurality of light emitting devices disposed two dimensionally on a substrate; a lens unit for shaping the light output from each light emitting device into light with a desired spreading angle; a light guiding member having a mirror surface formed to surround the light axes of the light emitting devices in a rectangular shape in the inner surface, and mixing and guiding the light output from the lens unit; and an opening tightening section having a rectangular opening with the light axis of the light guiding member at the center, and disposed between the light guiding member and the object to be irradiated. The mirror surface is inclined at a desired angle smaller than the spreading angle to the light axis of the light guiding member so that the mirror surface becomes broader toward the object to be irradiated. At least a part of the light output from the lens unit is reflected by the mirror surface, passes through the vicinity of the end of the opening of the opening tightening member, and is input substantially vertically to the irradiation region.
