PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow status information of a communication apparatus to be notified when authentication processing fails by a system in which the communication apparatus is disconnected from a network at the time of a failure in authentication.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus executes authentication processing according to IEEE 802.1X serving as a standard in which the communication apparatus is disconnected from a network at the time of a failure in authentication for connecting the communication apparatus to the network (steps S130 and S140), sequentially determines whether or not a plurality of predetermined check items concerning the authentication processing are right during the authentication processing and diagnoses error contents on the basis of the check items determined to be wrong. Further, when there is an error and the authentication processing fails (YES at a step S150), the communication apparatus notifies of the error contents not-through the network by printing the diagnosed error contents as a status sheet on a medium (a step S160). As a result, even if the authentication processing fails and the communication apparatus is disconnected from the network, status information of the communication apparatus can be notified. |
