A method, apparatus and system for managing path switching. The method is applied in a multiprotocol label switching-transport profile (MPLS-TP), and comprises: a bridging contact device detects whether transmission paths of all input ends corresponding to the bridging contact device on the Layer 2 virtual private network (L2VPN) side are in an abnormal working state; if at least one of the transmission paths of all the input ends corresponding to the bridging contact device on the L2VPN side is not in an abnormal working state, the bridging contact device sends a first detection packet according to a preset time, the first detection packet being set to indicate that at least one of the transmission paths of all the corresponding input ends on the L2VPN side is not in an abnormal working state; and if the transmission paths of all the input ends corresponding to the bridging contact device on the L2VPN side are all in an abnormal working state, the bridging contact device stops sending the first detection packet. |
