PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, even without many heaters, the temperature rise at an end of a fixation member attributing to the difference in width of sheets, to reduce the curling of a recording material and improve the separability of a recording material from the fixation member.SOLUTION: A shield member 25 is rotatably disposed between a heater 3 and an endless fixation belt 1 in the fixation belt 1 to shield heat from the heater 3. The shape of a nip part N is a flat shape, and the shield member 25 expands the fixation belt 1 at the exit of the nip part N toward the outside of the nip part N to secure the separability. Therefore, a contact part 26 that has a fan-like cross-sectional shape is provided at a base end part of the shield member 25. When contacting the rear side of the fixation belt 1, the contact part 26 presses the fixation belt 1 at the exit of the nip part N toward a side away from the nip part N to expand the fixation belt 1 so that the separability of a sheet is secured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
