A terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention relates to a terminal for transmitting an emergency call. The terminal comprises: an emergency call generating unit which generates an emergency call including emergency situation generation information, and position information of the terminal by detecting emergency situation; a communicating unit which transmits a call connection request for the emergency call to the outside; and a controlling unit which controls the communicating unit to transmit the call connection request to the outside through a ground communications network, and controls the communicating unit to transmit the call connection request to the outside through a satellite communications network when the call is not connected based on the call connection request through the ground communications network.
