PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method which can separate multiple types of particles.SOLUTION: A method separates multiple types of particles contained in a solution by means of dielectrophoresis. The method includes a separation process in which AC voltage of a first frequency is applied to an electrode with at least four poles arranged around a predetermined central position, thereby capturing at least one of the multiple types of particles at the central position and capturing at least another of the multiple types of particles by the electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
