PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of ensuring long-term reliability regarding luminous efficiency and bondability, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes: a first lead frame which includes a top face including a first element mounting region and a first adhesion region and with which ruggedness is provided in the first adhesion region; a second lead frame which is provided in parallel with the first lead frame while interposing an interval therebetween and includes a top face including a second element mounting region and a second adhesion region and with which ruggedness is provided in the second adhesion region; a first metal layer that is provided on the first element mounting region; a second metal layer that is provided on the second element mounting layer; a reflector layer which is provided adhesively to the first adhesion region and the second adhesion region and with which an opening communicating to the first and second element mounting regions is formed; a light-emitting element which is mounted on the first element mounting region within the opening and electrically connected with the first and second lead frames; and a transparent resin layer which is provided within the opening so as to encapsulate the light-emitting element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
