PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur-containing polymer that is available as a positive electrode active material in a battery having excellent charging/discharging capacity and excellent cycle life characteristics in order to produce such a battery.SOLUTION: A sulfur-containing polymer is obtained by radical reaction between a monoallyl compound represented by Formula (I) [where R is an ionic group, R' is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 alkyl group, n is an integer of 1-14] and a molecular sulfur (S). The sulfur-containing polymer can be used as a positive electrode active material of a battery, and the battery has excellent charging/discharging capacity and cycle life characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
