The present invention relates to a system and method for protecting a structure from subterranean insects, such as termites or ants. In particular, the present invention concerns a system and method for providing a chemical barrier including at least one flexible resilient pipe adapted to be buried beneath a ground surface or structure supporting surface and having perforations substantially along its length, and a pump connectable to the pipe for pumping a chemical barrier-forming composition through the pipe and the perforations such that the chemical-barrier forming composition is capable of forming an effective chemical barrier extending through a ground substrate from above the pipe up to about the ground surface of structure supporting surface. |
