PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive electroacoustic transducer having a wide directivity over a wide frequency band from bass to treble with one speaker unit, and having the substantially same directivity for any direction, e.g., the longitudinal direction or lateral direction, of the speaker unit.SOLUTION: The electroacoustic transducer includes a vibrator 1 having two pairs of longitudinally divided tubular surfaces 5, a transducer for converting the vibration of the vibrator 1 and an electric signal corresponding to the vibration, and a support for supporting the vibrator 1 movably in the vibration direction. In the vibrator 1, one sides of the longitudinally divided tubular surfaces 5 form a trough 6 on each pair of longitudinally divided tubular surfaces 5, and the other sides of a different pair of longitudinally divided tubular surfaces 5 form a crest 12. The two pairs of longitudinally divided tubular surfaces 5 are arranged so that at least any one of the troughs 6 or crests 12 are perpendicular to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
