A device for varying the dead center positions of a piston, which is connected by way of a connecting rod 10 to a crankshaft, within a cylinder comprises an eccentric sleeve 22 which is formed with a sleeve circumferential toothing 28 and by means of which a piston pin can be mounted in a connecting rod eye, a transmission disc 24 which is rotatably mounted on the connecting rod 10 and which has a disc circumferential toothing 26, the radius of which toothing is greater than that of the sleeve circumferential toothing 28 and which toothing is in engagement with the sleeve circumferential toothing 28, and an actuating device having at least one actuating lever 30, 32, which at least one actuating lever is mounted on the connecting rod and is coupled by way of a coupling element 34, 36 to the transmission disc 24, and which at least one actuating lever is suitable for being pivoted, when the crankshaft is rotating, by engagement with an external actuating element which is movable in terms of the movement path thereof, whereby the transmission disc 24 is caused to perform a relative rotation. |
