PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector assembly having a lattice arrangement (grid array) in which both the narrow pitch and the low back side can be implemented at the same time.SOLUTION: Plural upper plug contacts 10 are brought into contact with master elastic pieces 24 and slave elastic pieces 25 of plural lower receptacle contacts 13 while master elastic pieces 24 and slave elastic pieces 25 of the upper plug contacts 10 are elastically deformed. Plural lower plug contacts 12 are brought into contact with the master elastic pieces 24 and the slave elastic pieces 25 of plural upper receptacle contacts 11 while the master elastic pieces 24 and the slave elastic pieces 25 of the plural lower plug contacts 12 are elastically deformed. Referring to Fig. 7, it is apparent that the direction of the elastic deformation of the master elastic pieces 24 and the slave elastic pieces 25 of the upper receptacle contacts 11 is different from the direction of the elastic deformation of the master elastic pieces 24 and the slave elastic pieces 25 of the lower receptacle contacts 13 under the state that the upper connector 3 and the lower connector 5 are fitted to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
