An information lookup method and device, the method comprising: determining to select a second dimension index term of an information entry corresponding to a first dimension index term in a database storing information entries, and displaying the second dimension index term; acquiring feedback indication information, and locating the second dimension index term according to the indication information; and starting display from the information entry corresponding to the located second dimension index term. The present invention employs a data retrieval method in which a two-dimensional index and another index coexist, quickly locates the second dimension index term, sorts via another sorting method the information entry corresponding to the second dimension index term rapidly located through the second dimension index, and starts display of an information entry from the information entry corresponding to the located second dimension index term, thus facilitating information entry lookup by a user, and improving data lookup efficiency. |
