<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator with a linear motion guide mechanism in which a sensor which detects a rotating position of a shaft can be provided in an end portion of a housing in the axial line direction and a scale can be prevented from being prolonged equal to or more than a stroke of the shaft. <P>SOLUTION: An end portion 10c-2 of a rotor 4, in the axial line direction, supported by bearings 14a, 14b is projected from the inside of a housing 2 to the outside in the axial line direction from the bearings 14a, 14b.
