A device for fastening a single reed (1) to the mouthpiece (2) of a single-reed wind instrument comprises: fastening means which apply to the single reed a fastening force forcing it against the mouth piece (2) and which comprise at least one string (13; 3), and regulating means which regulate the intensity of the fastening force, which consist of means for producing a tensile force of variable intensity in the at least one string (13; 3) and which comprise: a cover element (14; 4) that rests on the mouthpiece (2); an active element (15; 5) having receptacles (15a, 15b;5a, 5b) in which (5a) sections (3a) of the string (3) extend and/or in which (15a, 15b;5a, 5b) the ends of the string (13; 3) are anchored; and displacement means (16, 15c; 6, 5c, 7) which act on the active element (15; 5) in order to displace it along a radial direction of the mouthpiece (2) in both directions, the continuous movement of the active element (15; 5) away from the mouthpiece along said radial direction resulting in a movement of said sections (3a) or said ends of the string (13; 3), thereby producing a tensile force in the string (13;3). The invention is characterized in that along said radial direction the cover element (14; 4) is arranged between the active element (15; 5) and the mouthpiece (2). While the active element (15; 5) moves along said radial direction away from the mouthpiece (2), it (15; 5) moves away from the cover element (14; 4). The receptacles (15a, 15b; 5a, 5b) are arranged on projecting parts of the active element (15; 5) that protrude from the base of the active element (15; 5) and that extend beyond the circumference of the upper surface region of the mouthpiece (2) on which the cover element (14; 4) rests, such that the projections of said receptacles (15a, 15b; 5a, 5b) on the mouthpiece (2) are completely outside of said upper surface region of the mouthpiece. |
