<p>The invention relates to a converter gas discharge for a rotatable and pivotable blowing jet converter, having a cooling chimney hood between converter and static cooling chimney top section for discharging the converter gas to a gas recovery unit, wherein the cooling chimney hood is located at the top edge of the converter in a sealing manner. The cooling chimney hood can be raised and lowered relative to the static cooling chimney top section in order to leave free, in an upper position, an adequately large gap between converter edge and cooling chimney hood to allow the converter to make rotating and pivoting movements, while the edge of the cooling chimney hood facing the converter is located in a lower position at the edge of the static converter in a sealing manner. A seal permitting a vertical displacement between cooling chimney hood and cooling chimney top section is provided in the transition region from the cooling chimney hood to the static cooling chimney top section, and the cooling chimney hood can be lowered into a further position, in which it can be laterally displaced relative to the static cooling chimney top section.</p> |
