PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the supply of gas containing char to flare equipment when starting gasification furnace equipment.SOLUTION: There is provided coal gasification furnace equipment 100 that comprises a coal gasification furnace 10, a char recovering device 30, flare equipment 90, an air flow rate regulating valve 56 and an oxygen supply flow channel 82 which supply the coal gasification furnace equipment 10 with oxygen-containing gas, an inert gas supply flow channel 81 supplying an upstream side of the char recovering device 30 with nitrogen gas, and a control device CU controlling the supply amounts of the oxygen-containing gas and nitrogen gas. The coal gasification furnace 10 has a burner BS for starting. Before starting combustion of fuel for starting with the burner BS, the control device CU controls the supply amount of nitrogen gas in such a way that the concentration of oxygen in a mixed gas in which combustion gas and nitrogen gas are mixed and which is obtained by combusting the oxygen-containing gas and starting fuel is equal to or less than the ignition concentration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
