PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to design miniaturization of a drive device if an existing position detection device is assembled to the drive device.SOLUTION: A drive device is composed of: detected means that has a prescribed pattern periodically formed; detection means that detects a pattern formed by the detected means by intensity in accordance with a distance to the detected means; operation means that allows the detected means and the detection means to relatively operate; distance defining means that defines a distance between the detected means and the detection means in accordance with a position of the detection means relative to the detected means; and computation means that computes the amount of movement of the detection means relative to the detected means on the basis of the number of patterns to be detected by the detection means, and computes the position of the detection means relative to the detected means in accordance with intensity of the pattern to be detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
