PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation/removal method of a protector for an existing tunnel capable of eliminating the need of assembly yard for protector construction and minimizing the time of the full-lane road closure relating to construction.SOLUTION: In a manufacture factory away from an existing tunnel 5 via an open road, a protector 11 including a freely deformable or freely removable dimension adjustment part 11 is assembled, and the protector 1 is loaded on a dedicated cradle 3 loaded on a general-purpose large-sized vehicle 2. The protector 1 is transported from the factory to the existing tunnel 5 by using the vehicle 2, and the protector 1 is installed at a desired position on the job site. In the case of assembly, the protector 1 is assembled in such a manner that a dimension of the protector 1 is settled within an allowable loading range of the vehicle 2. |
