PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device for a web and the connection method thereof, which can connect an old web and a new web in short time.SOLUTION: A connection device 10 includes an upper movable body 12 arranged on an upper side of a conveyance passage of an old web W1 and a lower movable body 14 arranged on a lower side of the conveyance passage. The connection device 10 connects the old web W1 and a new web W2 by moving the upper movable body 12 in a horizontal direction and rotating a winding body 18 and an upper pasting body 20 by interlocking with each other in a state that the old web W1 and the new web W2 are stopped, and thereafter moving the lower movable body 14 and rotating a lower pasting body 42. |
