A construction method for rehabilitating an existing pipe, in which a rehabilitating pipe is constructed inside a previously laid pipe, and a backfill material is injected in between the inner surface of the previously laid pipe and the rehabilitating pipe, provides an improved reinforcement effect to the previously laid pipe. A method for rehabilitating an existing pipe formed containing a concrete material includes: a first step of directing a jet of high-pressure water to the inner surface of the existing pipe and thereby trimming the inner surface so as to allow only a portion of relatively high strength to remain; a second step of constructing a rehabilitating pipe inside the existing pipe; and a third step of injecting a backfill material in between the inner surface of the existing pipe having been trimmed in the first step and the rehabilitating pipe constructed in the second step. |
