The present invention relates to a computer simulation method for simulating an operation of a liquid crystal display cell and a simulator using the same. The present invention provides a simulator and a method for performing simulation to allow: a method for generating computer program configuration modules which calculate and estimate a liquid crystal arrangement state in a liquid crystal cell having various electrode structures by a computer simulation and generating a structure to operate each of the program configuration modules; a method for generating mesh for performing a three-dimensional finite element method for the generated structure; a method for performing initial arrangement including surface anchoring of liquid crystal molecules; a method for analyzing the arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules from an electric field applied to electrodes; and operational, electric and optical analyses of the liquid crystal molecules in a liquid crystal with a module for calculating light transmission characteristics according to the orientation of the liquid crystal. |
