<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device with a load sensor for accurately measuring axial load acting on a rotary shaft by a compact sensor and a main spindle device of a machine tool. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device 10 with the load sensor includes an angular ball bearing 20 and a sensor unit 30 comprising an encoder 31 and a sensor 32 disposed opposite to detected surfaces 33 and 34 of the encoder 31.
