摘要 The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of exhibiting high discharge capacity maintenance rate at a high current rate, a lithium composite metal oxide useful therefor, and a method for producing the lithium composite metal oxide. This lithium composite metal oxide comprises Ni, Mn, Co, and Fe, and the BET specific surface area thereof is 3 m2/g to 15 m2/g. According to the present invention, a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery which exhibits high discharge capacity maintenance rate at a high current rate compared to a conventional lithium secondary battery can be obtained, and thus the secondary battery is very useful especially for applications where high discharge capacity maintenance rate at a high current rate is required, that is, non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries for automobiles or for power tools such as electric tools.
