PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic contactor that can be screwed to an attaching part of an electrical facility by improving impact resistance performance with respect to impact force from outside and by improving vibration resistance performance with respect to strong vibration.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic contactor comprises: a contact part 2 having a fixed contact and a movable contact, which are oppositely arranged so as to come into contact with each other and separate therefrom; an electromagnet unit 3 having an exciting coil 10 that controls the contact/separation of the fixed contact and movable contact; a housing case 4 for housing the contact part and the electromagnet unit; two attaching flanges 17, 18 provided jutting out of the housing case and screwed to an attaching part 20 of an electrical facility, such as a distribution board, switch board, or control board. If a line formed by connecting centers P1, P2 at which these two attaching flanges are attached is an imaginary straight line SL1 between the flanges, the gravity center G of the electromagnetic contactor is located on the imaginary straight line between the flanges. |
