The present invention relates to a fireproof cable and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of improving high fireproof performance, passing a fireproof hitting test or spray test, reducing manufacturing costs and the consumption of mica tape, and reducing defects in a manufacturing process. The fireproof cable includes: a conductor part; a first mica tape covering the conductor part in a spiral shape and having an outer surface sequentially coated with a mica layer and a resin layer; a second mica tape covering the first mica tape in a spiral shape and having an inner surface coated with a mica layer and a resin layer to come into contact with the resin layer of the first mica layer; and an insulating layer formed on an outer surface of the second mica tape. The manufacturing method includes: a core wire forming step; a first tape forming step; a second tape forming step; and an insulating layer forming step. According to the formation of the present invention, the fireproof cable is capable of maintaining high fireproof performance, passing the fireproof hitting test or spray test, by making only two layers of the mica tape while reducing manufacturing costs and the consumption of the mica tape, and reducing defect rates by preventing boundary surfaces of the mica tape from pushing each other in a manufacturing process for an insulating layer. |
