PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane departure warning system which issues a warning in advance before departure from the line. SOLUTION: The lane departure warning system includes a traveling lane detection unit and an operation detection unit which detect data used for calculating and outputting a traveling lane departure time point of a vehicle, wherein a critical line of the traveling lane is set based on data detected through the traveling lane detection unit and a corresponding warning signal is output when the vehicle reaches a preset critical line. According to the present invention, the lane departure warning system detects and notifies a user of a traveling lane departure time point according to an actual operating state of a vehicle while driving so that the user can recognize in advance the departure time point, thereby improving user reliability, and by setting a critical line of a traveling lane, a warning can be issued in advance before departing from the critical line, so that an accident can be prevented in advance.
