An electronic money pool is set up by a group of parties each having a mobile station with a short-range wireless communication module. The group members hold their mobile stations close to one another to start a group wallet applet on each mobile station. Through a radio communication network, a connection is made with a secure server running a central group wallet application which administers all contributions to the money pool by the group members, and all payments from the money pool by the group members. |
