PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique facilitating grasp of the tendency of the traffic congestion information by a user. SOLUTION: The navigation device 40 includes a control part 50, a GPS receiving part 41, a display part 42, an operation part 43, a vehicle condition sensor 44, a communication processing part 46, and a media information obtaining part 47. The control part 50 includes a main control part 51, a navigation processing part 53, a map data part 54, and a traffic congestion image processing part 60. The traffic congestion image processing part 60 produces and displays an image showing the traffic congestion tendency of a certain time zone (traffic congestion tendency image) based on the traffic congestion map image obtained from a traffic information providing service server 30.
