<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically reduce electric power consumption of an extended semiconductor memory according to a use state. <P>SOLUTION: Supplying/stopping of a clock signal to an extended memory 141 is controlled base on a sign of used size of the extended memory 141, while the sign is varied according to a memory allocation request from an application 24.
