PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to more easily feel advantages brought about by an update of road map data.SOLUTION: A navigation device comprises: data storage means 15 which can store first road map data representing roads that can be traveled currently and second road map data representing roads that are planned to be either opened or closed; data acquisition means 17 which can acquire update road map data stored in update data storage means 31; update means 20 which updates the road map data before an update stored in the data storage means to the update road map data acquired by the data acquisition means; route design means 18 which can design a first route based on the first road map data and a second route based on the second road map data, with both the routes being routes to a destination set by a user; and display control means 21 which displays the first route designed by the route design means on a display output part 13 and displays, upon a request by the user, the second route on the display output part. |
