PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a fiber composite member comprising steel and polyurethane can be produced economically in industrial practice.SOLUTION: A fundamental concept of the method according to the present invention is to use a polyurethane composition which conforms to a manufacturing process, in particular can undergo a first crosslinking reaction to react into a thermoplastic polymer and later can undergo a second crosslinking reaction to be fully crosslinked into a thermosetting material. In the case of the present invention, the full crosslinking into the thermosetting polymer is first carried out after a shape-applying forming step, whereby the final high strength of the member occurs for the first time after the member has been applied with final in-service shape. The invention is characterized in that chemicals to be used are closely adjusted with the mechanical processing steps to thereby exploit interaction in the processing of plastics and steel. |
