The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and alleviating obesity containing an active ingredient of Moringa oleifera leaves and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition for preventing and alleviating obesity, which contain an active ingredient of Moringa oleifera leaves, and reduce the number and size of adipocytes so inhibit deposit of fat, thereby having an anti-obesity effect. According to the present invention, provided are the pharmaceutical composition for preventing and alleviating obesity containing the active ingredient of Moringa oleifera leaves, and the food composition for preventing and alleviating obesity containing the active ingredient of Moringa oleifera leaves.
