摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for position measurement of an access point and terminal in WLAN and other wireless network.SOLUTION: For access point position measurement, measurements are obtained for at least one access point in a WLAN. The measurement is based on transmission sequences (e.g., beacon frames) transmitted periodically by each access point. The measurement is made by multiple terminals at different locations or a single mobile terminal at different locations. The location of each access point is determined based on the measurement and known locations of the terminal(s). For terminal position measurement, measurements for at least one access point in a WLAN are obtained. The location of the terminal is determined based on the measurement and a known location of each access point. The measurement is round trip time (RTT) measurement, observed time difference (OTD) measurement, time of arrival (TOA) measurement, signal strength measurement, signal quality measurement, etc.
