PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compressor in which an air storage unit is attachably/detachably coupled with a cylinder and which is made of a plastic material.SOLUTION: An air compressor comprises: a main housing 1; and a cylinder 3 which is connected with the main housing 1 and actuates a piston body 25. A motor 21 having a small gear on its front end is fixed to the main housing 1. A rear end of the motor 21 is provided with a heat radiation fan 27 for a heat radiation purpose. A large gear 23 is engaged with the small gear. A weight rotary disc 28 is connected with the large gear 23. The weight rotary disc 28 has a crank pin 24. The crank pin 24 is pivoted to the piston body 25. When the motor 21 is actuated and the crank pin 24 performs a circumferential motion, a piston head of the piston body 25 performs a reciprocating motion in the cylinder 3, and the compressed air in the cylinder 3 is pushed out and made to approach the air storage unit 5. |
