<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chloroprene rubber capable of forming solvent type adhesives excellent in an adhesive property, a brush-coating property and layer separation resistance; and to provide an adhesive using the same. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the chloroprene-based polymer composition having an average index gM of branching of 1.00 to 1.12 at a weight-average mol. wt. of 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 measured with a gel permeation chromatography multi-angle laser ray-scattering detector (GPC-MALLS) and using linear polystyrene as a standard polymer.
